Tuomas Juutilainen is a pianist and piano tuner with roots in Jyväskylä, Finland. He started his musical studies in the Jyväskylä vocational school and graduated as a musician in 2009. In 2011, he stepped into Sibelius Academy for piano performance studies under the lead of professor Hamsa Al-Wadi Juris. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2015, Tuomas continued with the master’s degree. The same year, he went for an exchange year at the University of Michigan, where he had a privilege to work with professor Martin Katz. Two years later, he graduated from the Sibelius Academy’s Opera coach program. Since the graduation, Tuomas has worked extensively around Finland as a répétiteur in various opera productions and also coaching singers privately.

2018 – present, Session musician, Finnish National Opera & Ballet Orchestra. In various productions 2018-present. Productions have included Jekyll and Hyde, Il trovatore, Cinderella, Great chorus gala among others.
2018- present, Répétiteur in Tampere Opera, Vaasa Opera, Opera Box, Savoy Theatre. In opera and musical productions including Carmen, La Bohéme, West Side Story, Giuditta, The rape of Lucretia among others.
